Sony Xperia 1 VI promotional photos that were leaked.

Next week, on May 17, Sony will officially unveil the Xperia 1 VI, and as that date draws closer, leaks of the device are becoming more frequent. At this point, it nearly seems like we get one every day. We have already shown you a few leaked renders of it, followed immediately by another batch, and now, you guessed it, some more renders.

These appear to have been produced by Sony in support of the Xperia 1 VI's promotional campaign, which will begin as soon as it is formally introduced. A rumor regarding the phone's telephoto camera—that it will be 85mm to 170mm instead of 85mm to 125mm like the Xperia 1 V—is confirmed by one of the pictures.

The Xperia 1 VI's cameras all seem to have been taken from its predecessor, with the exception of this one, which appears to be the only one that has seen hardware improvements. It is being said that Sony would finally combine all of its camera apps into one, which might improve usability more than any minor hardware change.

One of these pictures appears to support a prior report that stated that customers would receive access to some streaming movies from Sony Pictures. The 5,000 mAh battery and its ability to handle both wireless and reverse wireless charging are readily visible to everybody.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC is anticipated to power the Sony Xperia 1 VI, which is also expected to have a slightly wider and shorter aspect ratio than the 1 V (19.5:9). It may even forgo 4K screen resolution while keeping a 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. It should come pre-installed with Android 14 and have 12 or 16GB of RAM.
